Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh motivasi sebagai mediasi dalam hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi terhadap pengembangan karier PNS Pemerintah Kota Surakarta. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui metode kuesioner yang diisi oleh 142 responden dengan metode sensus. Analisis statistik dilakukan dengan statistik deskriptif, regresi linear berganda dan analisis jalur (path analysis). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) gaya kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi berhubungan secara signifikan dengan motivasi; (2) gaya kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi berpengaruh signifikan, baik secara simultan maupun parsial, terhadap motivasi; (3) gaya kepemimpinan, budaya organisasi dan motivasi berhubungan secara signifikan dengan pengembangan karier; (4) gaya kepemimpinan, budaya organisasi dan motivasi berpengaruh signifikan, baik secara simultan maupun parsial, terhadap pengembangan karier; (5) motivasi tidak memediasi pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap pengembangan karier; (6) motivasi tidak memediasi pengaruh budaya organisasi terhadap pengembangan karier.
