Author Guidelines

MANUAL REQUIREMENTS FOR BLBS

1. The article is/was adopted from the results of research in the field of literacy and school culture.

2. Articles are written in Indonesian, 15-20 quarto pages long, 1.15 spacing. Times New Roman 12 font type. The author's identity is listed below the title (Name without title, Institution, Email). Articles are sent through the UMS online journals system.

3. Abstract in English 100 – 200 words and contains objectives, methods and research results and typed 1 space, accompanied by keywords that reflect the substance of the article.

4. Articles are written systematically as follows:

  • Title, author's name without title, institution of origin, email address, abstract (in English), keywords, contents include: Introduction (background, problems, objectives, and theoretical basis); Research methods; Results and Discussion; and Conclusion, Bibliography. Fill Without Numbering.Pada bagian pendahuluan harus memuat gap analysis, state of the art, dan novelty.
  • The method section must contain: research design, population and sample, instrument development, instrument development process, pilot study, data collection and data analysis.
  • The results and discussion section must contain new findings, comparisons with previous related research findings, as well as the reasons for differences or similarities in these findings.
  • The conclusion section must contain a brief answer to the problem formulation, research limitations, and recommendations for further research.

5. Figures, graphs and tables are presented with the following provisions:

  • Size of pictures, graphs and tables according to paper size
  • Titles of pictures and graphs are written in the bottom center and numbered sequentially
  • The table title is in the top center and numbered sequentially, the table format is mandatory according to the template

6. Catatan untuk Kutipan

  • Each quote is accompanied by a page, for example: (Sutrisno, 2015: 13)
  • The references used are the latest publications (maximum of the last 10 years) sourced from 10% of books and 90% of journals.

7. Articles must be submitted no later than 1 (one) month prior to online publication at the address https://journals.ums.ac.id/index.php/blbs

8. The article must attach the results of checking plagiarism from Turnitin (in Pdf format) uploaded in the "Supplementary File". The percentage of similarity is not more than 30%.

9. Confirmation of loading or rejection of the manuscript will be notified online. Authors are expected to always check the status of articles through their respective accounts.

 

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal. The author will get Creative Common license type CC By.

This journal charges the following author fees.

Authors are required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs.

Article Publication: 0.00 (IDR)
If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.

If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
