ADIKSI INTERNET MENYEBABKAN MASALAH EMOSIONAL DAN PERILAKU PADA REMAJA

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Kemajuan teknologi dan akses internet yang mudah, memiliki dampak positif dan dampak negatif pada remaja.Dampak negatifnya menyebabkan adiksi internet pada remaja. Adiksi internet menyebabkan masalah baru, diantaranya adalah masalah emosional dan perilaku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat adiksi internet dengan masalah emosional dan perilaku pada remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional.58 subjek dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Internet Addiction Disorder Test (IAT) untuk mengukur tingkat adiksi internet dan Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) untuk mengukur masalah emosional dan perilaku. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji pearson, didapatkan nilai korelasi (r) adalah 0,508, menunjukkan korelasi cukup kuat antara tingkat adiksi internet dengan  masalah emosional dan perilaku pada remaja, nilai p < 0,001 menandakan hubungan yang signifikan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat adiksi internet meningkatkan masalah emosional dan perilaku pada remaja.

ABSTRACT

Technological advances and easy internet access, have a positive impact and a negative impact on teenager. The negative impact causes internet addiction in teenager. Internet addiction causes new problems, including emotional and behavioral problems. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the level of internet addiction with emotional and behavioral problems in teenager. This study used an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional approach. 58 subjects were selected by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using the Internet Addiction Disorder Test (IAT) questionnaire to measure the level of internet addiction and the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) to measure emotional and behavioral problems. The data were analyzed using the Pearson test, the correlation value (r) was 0.508, indicating a fairly strong correlation between the level of internet addiction and emotional and behavioral problems in adolescents, p value < 0.001 indicating a significant relationship. Based on this study it can be concluded that the level of internet addiction increases emotional and behavioral problems in teenager.
