HUBUNGAN ANTARA TINGKAT AKTIVITAS FISIK DENGAN KEPARAHAN PENYAKIT COVID-19 DI KARESIDENAN SURAKARTA

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Pola aktivitas fisik keseharian individu yang tidak banyak bergerak dapat berkontribusi terhadap prevalensi berbagai penyakit, termasuk coronavirus diseases-2019 atau COVID-19. COVID-19 merupakan penyakit bersifat menular yang disebabkan oleh virus dan mengakibatkan infeksi saluran pernapasan. Individu dari berbagai kelompok umur dapat terinfeksi COVID-19 dengan manisfestasi klinis mulai dari tanpa gejala, bergejala ringan seperti flu biasa hingga penyakit serius dan bahkan kematian. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis hubungan antara tingkat aktivitas fisik dengan keparahan penyakit COVID-19. Metode: Penelitian observasional analitik ini dirancang secara study case control dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah penyintas COVID-19 di Karesidenan Surakarta. Total sampel dipilih dengan teknik non-probability sampling bertipe sampling purposive, yaitu 274 responden. Hasil: Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan mayoritas responden memiliki tingkat aktivitas fisik pada level sedang dan keparahan penyakit COVID-19 pada level gejala ringan. Uji statistik korelasi non-parametrik dengan spearman’s rho didapat nilai r hitung sebesar -0.368 dan nilai p sebesar 0,000. Simpulan: Kesimpulannya antara tingkat aktivitas fisik terhadap keparahan penyakit COVID-19 terdapat hubungan yang cukup signifikan. Dimana semakin tinggi tingkat aktivitas fisik seseorang maka semakin rendah resiko keparahan penyakit COVID-19 dan begitu pula sebalikanya.
