Abstract

This study aims to make a reference or reference in expanding learning media that is fun and interesting for students. The method used is quantitative research, the observed phenomenon is the effectiveness of using powerpoint on the motivation to learn biology. The study population included students in grades VII, VIII, and IX and a sample of 25 students was randomly selected. The data collection technique used a questionnaire, with the instrument being survey data based on a questionnaire via google form. A survey questionnaire with a Likert scale that aims to obtain data about students' views on the use of powerpoint. Even with the current pandemic, it does not close the enthusiasm and motivation of students in learning biology material. This can be influenced by several supporting factors such as learning media to learning methods. Learning media is directly related to the learning method which is a unit to be used in the delivery of material so that it is able to influence students' understanding of the material presented. The results of the research that has been done that the use of powerpoint as an interactive medium can be used to increase the motivation to learn biology junior high school students during the pandemic. It is proven that students understand the material presented.
