Author Guidelines

General Author Guidelines

  1. The Manuscript should be written in Indonesian or English and should be original, unpublished, and not under review for possible publication in any other journals.
  2. The Manuscript may take the form of research, and case studies.
  3. The manuscript was submitted via the website: https://journals.ums.ac.id/index.php/iseedu/login
  4. The Manuscript should be prepared according to the following author guidelines and Template. 
  5. Submitted manuscripts should have relevance and contribute something to the management of Islamic education. The article structure consists of an Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, and a Conclusion.

Structure of The Manuscripts

The Manuscript that will be submitted in this journal should contain:

1. The Submission Stage

The paper should be submitted by the author via online journal system. The content of the article should not be submitted simultaneously to another journal. 

2. Title

The title should be simple, concise, informative, no more than 14 words

3. Author(s) Name(s) and Aaffiliation(s)

  • Authors are obliged to add or invite lecturers, researchers or colleagues from abroad as author diversity
  • No academic title
  • Contains the name of the institution / organization / workplace / country/ author’s place of study

4. Abstract

An abstract should be accompanied each manuscripts, not exceeding than 200 words and written not more than three paragraphs. They must be written in both English and Bahasa Indonesia. Abstract must contain Abstract must contain research objectives, methodology, result, conclusion and suggestions for further research

5. Keyword

Keywords are written in English; with a number of 3-5 keywords. Keywords relevant to the research presented in the manuscript. For example : Implementation, Moral Education, Student Behavior.

6. Introduction

This section contains the background, research problems, a gap in theory, a summary of relevant previous research, and research objectives without sub-headings and numbering. The submitted article is the author's original work that has not been previously published in other scientific journals or books. Articles published in this journal must conform to the article format, which is the style of this journal.

7. Methodology

The research method describes the research design, population, sample (research objectives), data collection techniques, and data analysis techniques. Qualitative research with case studies, phenomenology, and others presents the research location, the presence of researchers, research subjects, informants, and techniques to collect research data, as well as a description of the technical analysis of research data. Whereas in quantitative research, it is necessary to present the population, samples, and data analysis techniques. 

8. Results and Discussion

Researchers need to inform some critical (original) field data obtained from interviews, observations, questionnaires, surveys, documents, and other data collection techniques. The findings are presented in full and are related to the research scope determined and supported by theories relevant to the research findings. Results can be supplemented with tables, figures, graphs, and/or diagrams. Tables and graphs and/or diagrams are numbered using numbers. Figure captions and figure numbers are placed after the related figure, while table captions and table numbers are placed before the related table, The lines in the table are just horizontal lines; no vertical lines are needed.

9. Conclusion

The conclusion summarizes the findings and discussion, presented briefly, narratively, and conceptually. Avoid using bullets and numbering. The author's conclusions and recommendations are given in this section and provide implications from this research, which can then be followed by suggesting further studies relevant to other researchers.

 

10. Bibliography

Bibliography writing should use a reference management application program such as Mendeley, EndNote, Reference Manager or Zotero. Reference writing using the model system from APA (American Psychological Accociation), 6th edition. Authors are required to cite articles written by the Iseedu journal Editorial Team

Bibliography should be written according to these below examples:

  • Sudjana, Nana. (2016). Penilaian Hasil Proses Belajar Mengajar.Bandung: PT Remaja Rosdakarya
  • Nafiati, Dewi Amaliah. (2019). Revisi Taksonomo Bloom: Kognitif, Afektif dan Psikomotorik. Humanika, Kajian Ilmiah Mata Kuliah Umum, 21(2),  155.

  • Nugraheni, Meyda Mustika. (2021). Penilaian Afektif Dlam Pembelajaran Tematik Masa Pandemi Covid-19 Di Sekolah Dasar. Tesis.Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta.

 

Authors are asked to be careful to check the proofs. They should keep in mind that the aim of proofreading is to correct mistakes that may have occurred during the writing process. The author has the final responsibility for the corrections. It should be returned within a week and can be sent back to the editors by e-mail. The paper will be corrected and posted for the on-line publication. 

9. Offprint

Authors will receive the PDF file (with no cover) of their articles for free after uploaded at the on-line publication. 

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission of the article has not been published to other journals, chapters of books and monographs.
  2. The submission file is in Open Office, Microsoft Word, RTF, or Word Perfect document file format.
  3. When the URLs is available, so the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced, uses 12 font, Times New Roman, italics rather than underlining (except with URL addresses) and all illustrations, figures and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in the Iseedu Journal.
  6. If submitting to the Iseedu Journal, so the managing editors will spread out to the Ensuring a Blind Review.

The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed Journal of Islamic Educational Thoughts and Practices is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the authors, the journal editors, the peer reviewers, the publisher and the society.  

Muhammadiyah University Press as publisher of this Journal takes its duties of guardianship over all stages of publishing extremely seriously and we recognize our ethical and other responsibilities. We are committed to ensuring that advertising, reprint or other commercial revenue has no impact or influence on editorial decisions. In addition, Muhammadiyah University Press and Editorial Board of ISEEDU  will assist in communications with other journals and/or publishers where this is useful and necessary.

 

Publication decisions

The editors of Journal of Islamic Educational Thoughts and Practices responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published. The decision is based on the recommendation of the journal's editorial board members and reviewers. The journal abides by legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editor confers with the editorial team and reviewers in making this decision. 

 

Non-Discrimination

The editors and reviewers evaluate manuscripts for intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.

 

Confidentiality

The editor, reviewers, and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, editorial team, and the publisher, as appropriate.

 

Disclosure and conflicts of interest

Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used by any of the editorial board members and reviewers in their own research.
