Author Guidelines
- SINEKTIKA: Jurnal Arsitektur receive manuscripts of scientific articles in the scope of the field of architectural science which include art & design, history & human behavior, technology, urban planning, and the environment, which have never been published in other print media.
- Manuscripts must be original and have not been previously published in any journal. The substance of the article manuscript is in the form of research results, literature reviews, information in the field of architecture, review of newly published books (reviews), research, community service, obituaries (news of death along with the work of a scientist as an award). The manuscript is a critical and comprehensive scientific study of important and current issues related to the science of architecture covered in the field SINEKTIKA: Jurnal Arsitektur.
- Articles are written in normal 10 pt calibri, 1 spaced, and printed on A4 paper (29.7 cm x 21 cm). The manuscript is made in 2 columns, the distance between the columns is 0.5 cm. The right and left margins are 2 cm each. The top margin is 2 cm and the bottom is 2.5 cm. Between the title of the new chapter and the end of the previous article is spaced 1 space. The total number of article pages, including images and tables, is about 8 - 11 pages.
- Article manuscripts can be in English or Indonesian. The title is written specifically and effectively no more than 12 words. The title of the article should be informative, specific, concise, and contain keywords that describe the content of the manuscript as a whole. The title is written in Calibri font 14 pt bold space 1.
- The author of the article, the name of the institution (affiliation), and email address are written where provided, with 10 pt Calibri letters, and use bold for the author's name, without a title and should not be abbreviated. If there is more than one author, then they are written in descending order, the top is the first author, below the second author, and so on
- Abstract contains problems, research objectives, methods used, and research results and conclusions. Abstract consists of 1 paragraph maximum of 200 words. Abstract written in Calibri 9 pt.
- Keywords consist of 3-5 words, separated by commas, can be compound words, phrases or idioms.
- Writing article scripts without numbering numbers or alphabets, but using a heading system. Subtitles use capital letters (UPPERCASE) in bold, sub-titles / subtitles use Sentences case.
- The systematics of journal manuscripts are as follows: (1) Introduction: contains background problems and research objectives, (2) literature review relevant to the problems studied, (3) research methods/research methods, (4) research results and discussion/discussion, (5) Conclusions and suggestions; recommendations, (6) bibliography.
- The system for writing quotations / excerpts of a manuscript or literature uses the Harvard system. The source of the literature written in the description only consists of the name of the author and the year of publication.
- Figures and Tables are placed in text groups and are captioned. Figures and tables are followed by the title of the figure which is placed below the figure in question and the title of the table which is placed above the table in question. Figure titles and table titles are numbered sequentially.
- Images are guaranteed to be printed clearly even if they are reduced to 50%. Pictures or diagrams/schematics should be placed between groups of text.
- The table is displayed without vertical lines, while the horizontal lines only show 3 main horizontal lines, namely 2 horizontal lines for column heading items and a closing line from the bottom row.
- Equations or formulas are written averaging and numbered written in brackets. The number is placed at the end of the right margin of the column.
- The bibliography format is based on the APA (American Psychological Association) style. Authors are advised to use reference tool applications such as Mendeley, Zotero and so on. The bibliography contains the sources used as references in research journal manuscripts.

Submission Preparation Checklist
