Author Guidelines

Carefully read the submission guidelines as follows:

A. General Requirements

The minimum standard requirements of the Indonesian Journal on Learning and Advanced Education (IJOLAE) must be:

  1. Written in English.
  2. The length of the submitted paper is at least 4000 - 8000 words.
  3. The article must include abstract in English (100-200 words) and be following by the keywords (3-5 words).
  4. Use of a tool such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote for reference management and formatting. The citation must be in the form of in-text and bibliography are based on APA 6th Edition (American Psychological Association)
  5. Make sure that your paper is prepared using the IJOLAE paper template.

B. Structure of The Manuscript

The manuscript must be prepared and suggested present follow the structure:

  1. Title. The title of the paper should describe research aims, method/model, and objective, without Acronym or abbreviation.
  2. Abstract. The Abstract has 100 to 200 WORDSNo citation; State in the abstract a primary objectiveresearch designmethodologymain outcomes, and results, and the conclusions.
  3. Section structure. Authors are suggested to present their articles in the section structure: Introduction - Method - Results and Discussion – Conclusion
  4. References. Expect a minimum of 30 references primarily with a minimum of 85% from reputable journal papers.
  5. The manuscript should be checked and edited by an English Language Editor (Proofreader).

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

    The maximal plagiarism is 30%, with each source maximal 4%

  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Is your manuscript adhere to the minimum standards?

    • Written in English;
    • The length of the submitted paper is at least 6 pages and no limit pages;
    • Use a tool such as EndNote, Mendeley, or Zotero for reference management and formatting, and choose APA style.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  7. Language. If an article is poorly written due to grammatical errors, while it may make it more difficult to understand the science, therefore authors must proofread their article(s) before being submitted.

Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Publication: 75.00 (USD)

There is no submission fee for this journal. All manuscripts published until December 2021 are free of charge However, all accepted papers have to pay the article procesing charge (APC) $75 (regularly published started January 2022). It covers journal management, supporting the cost of wide-open access dissemination of research results, managing the various costs associated with handling and editing of the submitted manuscripts, journal developments, domain, hosting, checking the article similarity by turnitin, final editing stage of the paper, final setting layout articles, or other journal system and management development.

If the manuscript is not accepted, the author does not pay any fee and may send the manuscript to any other journals. 

Starting in January, 2022, the journal will waive the article processing charge (APC) for the following condition:

1. The manuscript with authors from at least three countries

2. Authors with h-index Scopus or Wos >=10
